Upriver RV Resort was the first stop we took Baby Girl on her maiden voyage. Ok, I admit, Upriver is only 10 minutes from the dealership where we bought the coach. But considering we hadn't yet learned how to drive her, I'd say that was a pretty big trip for Bill and me. Don't worry, the salesman accompanied us on the short drive to the resort. He coached Bill along the way.
We hired the RV Driving school to give us all-day training on operating and driving the coach.
We enjoyed staying at Upriver. The other campers were very friendly and were eager to help us newbies. They made us feel at ease and more confident in using our brand new coach. Fortunately, Bill knew one couple who had been camped at Upriver for four months. We got a lot of tips from them about operating the coach and great places to visit in the area. They introduced us to Hogbody's Bar and Grill. Great place to get a cool drink and tasty comfort food.
